Nestled in the heart of this historic Devon village, The Kings Arms is full of old world charm.

The Kings Arms is steeped in history dating back to the early 1700's when it was known as The New Inn.

It has been known as the Kings Arms since 1800. The history illustrates a chequered past, notably in the late 1800's including an incident where the occupants 'set about' the local constable after complaints of a disturbance. Following their conviction the constable's house was set on fire!

Today's Kings Arms however is a far cry from the colourful times of the late 1800's. Otterton is now the epitome of quiet English village life and the Kings arms has become the typical village meeting point, being an ideal base to explore Devon and the Jurassic Coast.
