Tobias Restaurant opened in December 2007. It is situated near the traffic lights at the top end of Budleigh High Street if approaching from the Exmouth direction.


The owners, Ashley and Judy Sturgeon have worked in food and catering for many years. Tobias is Ashley's middle name, but is also the title of a famous painting Tobias and the Angel, which is reflected in the décor.


Tobias restaurant concentrates on fresh local produce, from numerous local suppliers.
It offers a 'Credit Crunch Lunch' and 'Bistro' style menu from 12.00 noon - 2.00pm and a wonderful menu in the evenings from 6.00pm - 9.00pm. The restaurant is in a friendly, informal atmosphere that makes guests feel immediately at home. A two or three course set menu is offered on Sunday lunchtimes to include two choices of the finest quality roast dinners and Catch of the Day at exceptionally reasonable prices.


An extensive wine list is offered including fine wines from across the world supplied from Christopher Piper Wines in Ottery St Mary.


Menus are regularly reviewed and changed, taking full advantage of seasonal produce. New menus to commence March 2010.



Vegetarian options are available and all dietary needs can be catered for. Children welcome.
